I found it interesting that Whole Foods Market was pushing kale as this super mega nutrient dense vegetable (which it is) but is $2.50 a bunch! And in season too! At my local organic food coop...that same bunch for $1.40 a huge bunch. Can you say gouging and PROFIT?!?!?!

Why don't parents LEARN take the time to pack a wholesome, healthier lunch for their kids rather than rely on the crap served in school cafeterias? I have made lunch-to-go every day for six years for my children - organic & completely vegetarian.

Sick and tired of the San Diego Chargers getting no respect. They have won 11 in row! They have the top rated passer in the AFC and probably the deepest squad in all of football. They were the only team that won with their backup quarterback and their 2nd and 3rd string players yesterday.

Was just at a supposed "busy" mall in San Diego - no lines to get in the mall, no wait for parking spaces and in and out of Target within 15 minutes.

Obesity is malnutrition, which runs much more rampant than hunger. And actually, healthy food can be cheaper than junk food but people want convenience and instant gratification, instead of preparing food from scratch, nourish themselves and actually save a few $$$.

We have a hunger crisis and a malnutrition crisis in this country. Obesity (malnutrition) runs much more rampant than hunger.
